We realize that our military-connected community (Veterans and those still serving) occasionally have unique issues and circumstances that require equally unique student support. Our goal is to assist military-connected students in making a smooth transition into Illinois State through coordinated efforts of both formal and informal support programs. Our formal support programs are integrated into many offices across campus where you can find a person who specializes in the needs of the military-connected student.
Located in 110 Moulton Hall, the Veterans Study Center is available for use by military-connected students (student Veterans, those currently serving on active duty, service members of the National Guard and Reserves, and students in the Military Science/ROTC program). The center provides a place for students to gather, study, collaborate, or just take a break, and is a venue for programs designed to assist student Veterans. Work tables, lounge chairs, computer terminals with CAC readers, and printing services are available for use.
The creation of the center was a combined effort by University College, Division of Student Affairs, Dean of Students Office, Student Counseling Services, Milner Library, Dr. Jo Ann Rayfield Archives, University Galleries, Alumni Relations, Military Science/ROTC, Veterans & Military Services, and the Office of the University Registrar.
