Advance Payment

Advance paymentof educational assistance allowance is intended to help students meet school and other related expenses which are concentrated at the beginning of the fall term (starting in August). When an eligible military-connected student enrolls at a rate of half-time or more and is not eligible for an interval payment, the student may elect for advance payment. Requests must be submitted in writing to the Veterans and Military Services Office NLT June 30th

Advance payments will be paid for the first two months of the term (August and September). Please be aware that students who receive advance payments at the beginning of a fall term will not receive their next benefit check (October's) until November 1st If you are eligible and interested in receiving advance pay, please contact the Veterans and Military Services Office

Tutorial Assistance

Tutorial Assistance is available for eligible students to help with the cost of private tutors. VA Form 22-1990t, Application for Individualized Tutorial Assistance, and additional coordination with your class instructor(s) must be completed in order to use this benefit. All requests for assistance must be initiated through the Veterans and Military Services Office. Please visit the office in person for more information.

Veteran Work Study Program

AVeteran Work Study Program with flexible hours may be available for eligible students. The program is open to Veterans enrolled and receiving educational benefits at ¾ time or more pay. Please note that program space is limited. Interested Veterans should contact the Veterans and Military Services Office for more information.
